"mercenaries in Iraq and Afghanistan for that matter.

All part of the Ayn Rand self regulating pure capitalism nonsense. Have the private sector do all of societies needs."

It's even a tad deeper than that; first you get the public sector to train those mercs, so you don't have to. Cuts overhead, eh?

You asked and here you go.

I took my car in for repairs under my extended warranty through a private insurance company. It was my mechanic with lower labor rates than the dealer. Should be a win-win for the insurance and me.

After the work request went in, the insurance company decided to send an adjuster. There was no need to do so. He approved of all the repair in the original request except for a small ($200) task for replacing the the thermostat whose housing has a hairline leak. This person's cost for the visit had to be paid for and this he how he paid for it. When I called the insurance they told me that I should check that 6 months later and if the leak has increased then I should replace it. My insurance is up for renewal in 3 months.

So what value did the insurance company add. In fact now they know I have a problem and it will surely impact my renewal. Pure utter capitalist non-sense, a system that landed us in this mess. Who should I turn to if not my elected rep and my Govt. to help me in this situation with my insurance. Say what? Other insurance companies!!! They are in cohorts. They are not there to compete.
