try to follow along these boards aren't rocket science. We were talking about gov spending and waste. Gov. run health care will have tons of waste and over spending

Insurance companies provide insurance against catastrophic expensive losses - whether health, auto, home, disability, whatever. Do you have homeowners insurance or auto insurance? Why if they're just a ripoff? BTW it would be better if we didn't rely on health insurance for sore throats or vaccinations but only major medical expenses. We don't look to auto insurance to replace water pumps. If we expected auto insurance to cover all maintenance, if state laws actually required it to do so, auto insurance would be very expensive.

United Health serves 70 million people nationwide and its annual profits are almost $3 billion. Works out to almost $43 per person it covers. Doesn't sound like too much to me.
