yeah you don't have to spend any of that permanent fund since the lower 48 is paying your way. Cheap thieving bastards

Actually TX has had a Permanent School Fund since before the Civil War. Most of its money comes from oil and gas royalties on public lands. Though most land in TX is privately owned. Most of the publicly owned land is in SW TX.
