There are trends that bother me. But I don't live in 1930's Germany, so I find brownshirt a rather quaint phrase, and since no one here is going to kill me for being gay (perhaps not let me marry - that is rather minor next to death), it is not a phrase I care to use. I don't think it applies even to a rise in armed groups. I have been concerned for over 8 years about losses in privacy, but that started with Bush. I don't care for Obama to continue such things. but there's the rub... started with Bush, continued with Obama? no right or left there. I hope that Obama will back off from 'state secrets' stuff and a few other things. And I have no interest in visiting Italy or Hungary or supporting the countries in any way.
