I'm not sure how to read your post. I tried to define 'white' more precisely, since clearly homosexuals were out of the loop... pink triangle and all that. And there were 'non-good-whites'... unproper aryans. the man who said... and then they will come for you, had it right. the 'circle' gets smaller and smaller. I don't consider myself in the great 'tribe' of whites since I am gay and outcast from them. in a greater scheme, if I can hide what I am, yes, I can do okay. I don't have a jewish name. I don't have dark skin. so if I hide myself well enough... I could survive. oh, but in my case, I look like a man. I am more often called sir than ma'am. I am one who could not pass. is that what you are getting at? and when I said 'in the end', I didn't just mean that in the end the circle grew smaller. but that most people are not cruel... so the cruelty they allowed (yes, allowed) themselves to be caught up in, in the end was a stain on their souls and they knew it, they knew they were responsible for the deaths.
