bastard doesn't get you much. Wuss is a little more provoking but really with men a snear is enough to bring it on, doesn't much matter what words are behind the snear ... the proper response is, 'what'r you look'n at?' ... then stand clear. In 1970 I saw a whole bar torn to shreads because a guy from one table threw a napkin at some other group's table. The guy who through the napkin said the other guys started it though. But coming up with some original insults is a worthy endeavor. I agree the hitler stuff is a yawn.
