Don...I'm not really "supporting" much of the stuff that the Democrats have been doing.

I've stated in "several" posts that I consider Pelosi and Reid to be pretty lousy representatives.

I think the stimulus had TOO much pork and wasn't directed appropriately. But, I also don't think the Republicans were offering too many ideas either that "jumped out" as great. I know they were talking about tax cuts (that's their mantra), but I'm not sure what other specifics they had in mind.

It's NOT like we WEREN'T gonna get a stimulus even if McCain had been elected. It's also not likely that we would have just STOPPED giving money to the banks and auto companies if McCain had been elected.

We'd STILL be running these tremendous deficits right now regardless of the Party elected. Tax revenues are down like 30% so it would be silly to think a Republican Administration would be in a lot better shape.

As far as the "cap n' trade" thing...I don't think that stands much of a chance of passing in the Senate whether they go to reconciliation or not.

On healthcare, I haven't seen ONE Republican say publicly that we should do NOTHING!!! Do you know of any?

So....WHY don't the Republicans put out a plan of their OWN that we can consider instead of just sniping from the bushes????
