NW - looks like there was a 250k volume spike 50 minutes before
closing on CPQ, Dell traded 660k in the last 5 minutes.

Based on my analysis, I find it hard to believe Dell will miss the expectations which are, courtesy of Zacks;

Dell Q3 .65 10% EPS increase over Q2
CPQ Q4 .83 15% EPS increase over Q3

Seems a little low for Dell and agressive for CPQ based on
historical data, then again, CPQ has turned the growth engine
on full blast.

I don't know what the whispers are

Here is my analysis on Dell

Here is Gabriels

I suspect Dell will come in somewhere in-between both of our
analysis .70 to .72.

Something would have really had to go out of whack to miss .65
espically in light of IDC's latest report on market share
and growth.

NW,

Dell's management has said again and again that they are comfortable with analysts' earning forecast. I am a loss to hear this rumor. Could be short sellers maneuvering to drive down the stock in a volatile market condition and in a quiet period at DELL? Did he tell you where the source of the rumor comes from?
