Actually Jim, my experience on the medical side has not been all that hot either....Not anything that could be considered huge on their own merit, but taken in accumulation and how regular they occur, enough to make me very leary of the system.

I had to a 1 1/2 hour drive one way to hear things like "what are you doing here today?"....or...."you've had bladder cancer and never had this test before?" (never had cancer to my limited knowledge...;>)..)....waiting so long for a specific appointment that I forgot what the hell I wanted to see the Doc about in the first place.....once I had to calm down a nurse that was about to assist on the same procedure on me that had just went bad enough on the previous patient that she was hyperventilating up a storm.

Not saying it has all been bad, but when they started billing me about half what a "real" doctor would charge, it hastened my reluctance to rely on their system.

Government health care or government anything else scares the shit out of me.
