Factoid: Southeast Alaska has the highest bio mass per acre in the world.

A beautiful maple tree seeded itself in my front yard. Long limbs with large leaves spread out to to catch the sun. Sheltered from sothern stroms by large spurce but open to the noorthern sun on the edge of my driveway.

I tend it carefullly. We have natural maples up here I think but they are rare. Or else they were introduced and have been suriving. I didn't plant it, but it found the perfect spot.

It is about 30 feet high. It is beautiful to me. I feed it, lime it, and keep the wild uncouth southeast riff raft cleared away fom it.

It is delicate for the nazi flora up here.

Vegetation in Southeast Alaska kicks ass-lol. Forest are filled with devils club and impenetrable alder, birch and spruce forests.
