Typo. That was "medical" care.

Health care isn't cheap, and the best health care in the world surely isn't.

I am not getting any health care from my insurance.

It is interesting, however, that Americans still spend about the same percentage of income on basic needs (food, shelter, medical, etc.) as they did 40 years ago.

The simple truth is priorities change over time. Today, medicine is able to keep us alive longer than ever before, and we [Americans] want to stay alive as long as we can. Obviously, health care that can prolong life as ours does is going to cost more.

You're a ridiculous man. German and French health care is as good as if not better than this country's health care. Better because its accessible to the entire population, not just the chosen few. This summer I stepped on a nail in my yard. My cousin wanted me to get a tetanus shot. That would have been $100-200 out of pocket. Money I couldn't afford and it would not have been covered by my insurance. So I took an antibiotic instead.......unbeknownst to me I am allergic to this antibiotic. First time in my life I was allergic to medicine.....the consequence I coughed for nearly two weeks until I figured out what the problem was, doing more damage to my lungs. That is your frigging precious 'best health care system in the world'. Your frigging best health care system in the world is breaking me.
