MacZone Announces Increased Mac Sales.

quarter results today, MacZone showed an
end to more than a year of declining Mac
OS system and software sales. While
overall Mac sales were down 18% with
respect to last year, they improves some
8% over the last quarter. Mac sales this
quarter were $53,763,000 net including
some $18,517,000 in Mac systems sales.
CEO John DeFao said, "After consecutive
quarters of declining Macintosh sales, we
realized renewed strength in our third
quarter sales. We benefited from an
increase in end-user support for Apple
products and success in selling OS8, the
new Macintosh operating system. For the
quarter we sold over 25,000 copies of OS
8, many of which were attached to other
Macintosh sales."<
