Does it matter what Beck said and how I feel about it? We are talking about a direct example of how large corporations control the media and thus control what information and opinions are fed to the sheeple.

So what if Beck thinks Obama is a racist? So what if he is right or wrong?

By the way I am not a racist, except for a few select individuals, I think all people suck equally...just some have more power than others.

What is your race? If you work at it, you might convince me to become racist. <g>

Corporations don't control the government, corporations ARE the government...

huffingtonpost.com

08/20/2009

The American government -- which we once called our government -- has been taken over by Wall Street, the mega-corporations and the super-rich. They are the ones who decide our fate. It is this group of powerful elites, the people President Franklin D. Roosevelt called "economic royalists," who choose our elected officials -- indeed, our very form of government. Both Democrats and Republicans dance to the tune of their corporate masters. In America, corporations do not control the government. In America, corporations are the government.

This was never more obvious than with the Wall Street bailout, whereby the very corporations that caused the collapse of our economy were rewarded with taxpayer dollars. So arrogant, so smug were they that, without a moment's hesitation, they took our money -- yours and mine -- to pay their executives multimillion-dollar bonuses, something they continue doing to this very day. They have no shame. They don't care what you and I think about them. Henry Kissinger refers to us as "useless eaters."

But, you say, we have elected a candidate of change. To which I respond: Do these words of President Obama sound like change?

"A culture of irresponsibility took root, from Wall Street to Washington to Main Street."
There it is. Right there. We are Main Street. We must, according to our president, share the blame. He went on to say: "And a regulatory regime basically crafted in the wake of a 20th-century economic crisis -- the Great Depression -- was overwhelmed by the speed, scope and sophistication of a 21st-century global economy."

This is nonsense.

The reason Wall Street was able to game the system the way it did -- knowing that they would become rich at the expense of the American people (oh, yes, they most certainly knew that) -- was because the financial elite had bribed our legislators to roll back the protections enacted after the Stock Market Crash of 1929.

Congress gutted the Glass-Steagall Act, which separated commercial lending banks from investment banks, and passed the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, which allowed for self-regulation with no oversight. The Securities and Exchange Commission subsequently revised its rules to allow for even less oversight -- and we've all seen how well that worked out. To date, no serious legislation has been offered by the Obama administration to correct these problems.

Instead, Obama wants to increase the oversight power of the Federal Reserve. Never mind that it already had significant oversight power before our most recent economic meltdown, yet failed to take action. Never mind that the Fed is not a government agency but a cartel of private bankers that cannot be held accountable by Washington. Whatever the Fed does with these supposed new oversight powers will be behind closed doors.

Obama's failure to act sends one message loud and clear: He cannot stand up to the powerful Wall Street interests that supplied the bulk of his campaign money for the 2008 election. Nor, for that matter, can Congress, for much the same reason.

Consider what multibillionaire banker David Rockefeller wrote in his 2002 memoirs:

"Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure -- one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

Read Rockefeller's words again. He actually admits to working against the "best interests of the United States."

Need more? Here's what Rockefeller said in 1994 at a U.N. dinner: "We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis, and the nations will accept the New World Order." They're gaming us. Our country has been stolen from us.

Journalist Matt Taibbi, writing in Rolling Stone, notes that esteemed economist John Kenneth Galbraith laid the 1929 crash at the feet of banking giant Goldman Sachs. Taibbi goes on to say that Goldman Sachs has been behind every other economic downturn as well, including the most recent one. As if that wasn't enough, Goldman Sachs even had a hand in pushing gas prices up to $4 a gallon.

The problem with bankers is longstanding. Here's what one of our Founding Fathers, Thomas Jefferson, had to say about them:

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation, and then by deflation, the banks and the corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their father's conquered."

We all know that the first American Revolution officially began in 1776, with the Declaration of Independence. Less well known is that the single strongest motivating factor for revolution was the colonists' attempt to free themselves from the Bank of England. But how many of you know about the second revolution, referred to by historians as Shays' Rebellion? It took place in 1786-87, and once again the banks were the cause. This time they were putting the screws to America's farmers.

Daniel Shays was a farmer in western Massachusetts. Like many other farmers of the day, he was being driven into bankruptcy by the banks' predatory lending practices. (Sound familiar?) Rallying other farmers to his side, Shays led his rebels in an attack on the courts and the local armory. The rebellion itself failed, but a message had been sent: The bankers (and the politicians who supported them) ultimately backed off. As Thomas Jefferson famously quipped in regard to the insurrection: "A little rebellion now and then is a good thing. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Perhaps it's time to consider that option once again.

I'm calling for a national strike, one designed to close the country down for a day. The intent? Real campaign-finance reform and strong restrictions on lobbying. Because nothing will change until we take corporate money out of politics. Nothing will improve until our politicians are once again answerable to their constituents, not the rich and powerful.

Let's set a date. No one goes to work. No one buys anything. And if that isn't effective -- if the politicians ignore us -- we do it again. And again. And again.

The real war is not between the left and the right. It is between the average American and the ruling class. If we come together on this single issue, everything else will resolve itself. It's time we took back our government from those who would make us their slaves.

Just curious. Do you have enough exposure to Beck -- say five of ten hours -- to make an informed assessment?

re: ["Presumably you think Beck was right to call Obama a
racist. Or could it be that Beck is the racist, and you
share his views?"]

Gib, you're not looking for answers, or truth. You're here
to troll and and bait people with your smug leftist pablum.

Obama's handling of the Henry Lewis Gates case was good for
America, because we got to see yet another layer of the Obama
onion peeled away.

Remember this quote?

"I can no more disown Rev. Jeremiah Wright, than I can
disown my white grandmother."

-- Barack H. Obama

In the end, we saw Barack H. Obama not only disown them both,
but also drive the bus of political opportunism over them as well.

The greatest "teaching points" that came out of the Henry
Lewis Gates incident, were these...

youtube.com

youtube.com

And as all of America learned, there is one thing that Henry
Lewis Gates never leaves home without, and that's his race card...

youtube.com

Henry Lewis Gates is an angry, bitter racist, who is incapable
of seeing the world through anything except a black vs. white lens.

The main teaching point for America, is that those who are
willing to play the race card for political gain with callous
disregard for not only the truth, but also the lives and careers
of the innocent people it destroys, or the racial strife it
creates, are the real racists.

We saw a President use CNN, use Henry Lewis Gates, use the
press pool, use a national television audience, and use all
of America by playing the race card to further his political agenda.

Barack Obama didn't just yell fire in a crowded theater, he
lobbed a Molotov cocktail into the middle of the crowd by
injecting race into the debate about health care.

Without knowing any of the facts, without reading the police
report, without listening to the radio call tapes, and without
talking to anyone other than his close friend Henry Lewis
Gates... this President willfully drove the bus over Sgt.
James Crowley, 911 caller Lucia Whalen, the Cambridge Police
Department, and America itself.

Barack Obama is not a healer, he's a divider. Always has been,
always will be.

And perhaps most telling about Barack Obama the man, was the
fact that he was incapable of issuing an apology.

America is quickly awakening to the real Barack Obama. His
approval numbers have collapsed faster than any US President
in history, now surpassing the implosion of the Jimmy Carter
Presidency...

America elected the most unvetted, and most unqualified President
in it's history. Obama was a smoke and mirrors candidate,
sold to America by same people who've sold us cigarettes,
hula hoops, and sham wows.

And now America is paying the price for buying the illusion
of hope and change.

The only thing collapsing faster than Obama's poll numbers,
is the US economy. And how about that little $2 trillion
dollar bump to our deficits that he tried to sneak out after
hours last Friday?

America now realizes that it elected a narcissistic,
machiavellian sociopath, who will say anything, promise
everything, and deliver nothing.

Obama's socialist mentors and his Marxist-Leninist leanings
were portrayed by the press as mis-steps of youth. And now
we are being told that "socialism" is code for the "N" word.

Puh-F'n-leeze.

We were told to ignore his self-acknowledged fondness for his
Marxist-Leninist professors at Colombia, his mentors like
communist Frank Marshall Davis, his friends like terrorist
bomber Bill Ayres, and his affection for the community
organizing methods of radical socialist Saul Alinsky, as well
as his early Chicago affiliation with the socialist "New Party"...

Pay no attention to the Marxist-Lenin socialists behind
the Obama curtain...

Lifelong Marxist-Lenin, socialist affiliations that he has
never disavowed aside, let's re-examine the roots of the
subject at hand - racism.

Obama's affiliation with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and the
Trinity United Church of Christ speaks volumes. Imagine if
the word "white" was substituted for the word "black" below.

From Trinity United's own web site.

trinitychicago.org

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and
Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black
religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and
permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our
native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization.

God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of
slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of
racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to
continuously address injustice as a people, and as a
congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through
cultural expression of a Black worship service and
ministries which address the Black Community.

Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value
System, written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee,
chaired by the late Vallmer Jordan in 1981.

"THE BLACK VALUE SYSTEM"

-- Commitment to the Black Community.

The highest level of achievement for any Black person must
be a contribution of strength and continuity of the Black Community.

-- Commitment to the Black Family.

The Black family circle must generate strength,
stability and love, despite the uncertainty of externals,
because these characteristics are required if the developing
person is to withstand warping by our racist competitive society.

-- Adherence to the Black Work Ethic.

-- Pledge to Make the Fruits of All Developing and Acquired
Skills Available to the Black Community.

-- Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources
for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions.

-- Pledge Allegiance to All Black. Leadership Who
Espouse and Embrace the Black Value System.

-- Personal Commitment to Embracement of the Black Value System.
To measure the worth and validity of all activity in terms of
positive contributions to the general welfare of the Black
Community and the Advancement of Black People towards freedom.

Obama spent a decade in this race based agenda and hate driven church.

And it's not the hate and racism spewed by the Rev. Jeremiah
Wright that should disturb people, but the support of the
entire Congregation
(of which Obama was a member) of the message.

Barack Obama acknowledged that the Rev. Wright was a key
mentor in his life. He selected Rev. Wright to perform
his marriage ceremony to his wife Michelle, and even
dedicated his book "Audacity of Hope" to Rev. Wright.

While Obama may be able to distance himself from specific
inflammatory sermons of Rev. Wright, what he can not do,
is distance himself from a decade long involvement with
a congregation that clearly supported the Rev. Wright's
hate driven and race based agenda as reflected by both
his sermons and the church's mission statements above.

"God Damn America" was not a one-off sermon for this Church,
it was an on going theme clearly supported by the entire
congregation...

And this man, who's true feelings about America, and who's
globalist, socialist agenda is now crystal clear...

Now instead of using the Alinsky method of...

1. Identify

2. Vilify

3. Nullify

4. Destroy

And instead of using ridicule and vacuous rhetoric against
Glenn Beck, please refute anything he has said in any
of his videos about Barack Obama, or his commissariat of
communist czars as untrue.

Be specific, or be vanquished...

PS: In case any of you were wondering why nationalizing health
care is so important to the globalist-socialist agenda...

"Medicine is the keystone of the arch of socialism."

- Vladimir Lenin

Food, Water, and Medicine.

Control those three and hearts and minds soon follow, because
they have to - if they want to live.

And not by surprise, this administration has bills to control
all three...

HR 3200 -- The Socialized Medicine/Eugenics - Health Care Bill

HR 2749-- Totalitarian Control of the Food Supply

Remember: Obama named Monsanto's Chief Lawyer as new chief
adviser to the FDA. Nothing like like putting the fox in
charge of the hen house.

And they eliminated states rights, gaining federal control over
water supplies via an amendment to the Clean Water Restoration Act.
