Davi's comment on the AHA statement:

>>>I'm glad the Heart Association is finally gathering the courage to stand up to industry. You can see that they have powerful and influential critics, ones who may stop donating the millions of dollars they had been giving. Because the Heart Association and similar organizations have to operate in a politically- and financially-motivated world, their watered-down, politically-correct advice has, in my view, become totally irrelevant. The advice to reduce sugar intake, while a step in the right direction, is absurd. If we followed this advice, we'd promptly look like the people I see at the Wisconsin State Fair--350 lbs, barely able to walk, using a wheelchair, struggling with heart procedures.
