Hi J,

"bang or whimper ?"

You probably know I recommended about a month ago to someone who was interested in DELL that they wait because, based on past gyrations, it MIGHT go as low has the low 80s... well even lower according to my charts now...

As Ibexx and I discussed last week, this sell-off is an anticipation of higher interest rates to come, nothing more... even though it parades as a dislocation due to SE Asia... and as others have noted... "... when did THAT ever matter..."

According to my most reliable index, the VGY, we are in for another 10% move down... and I expect it to end in Dec 1997.

Today's move may be nothing more than a test of the prior low... or it CAN change the LK to a MK or even a BK...

I am really not nimble enough to trade during the day to take advantage of these swings... even though I made 6x my investment Monday (the OEX Master Blaster bragged about 5x).

If I can pick up some really cheap puts this am - B suggested HD and they look okay - I will take a small position in hopes this will test the low and make some big bucks. But I am not betting the patio... 'er farm on it.

Regards,

Bill
