Cash for clunkers pissed me off. It was just one more government cash give away that I did not qualify for. Plus I had just sold an old rusty pick-up truck for $700 that was the only vehicle I owned that would have qualified. So I missed getting $4500 for a $700 truck by a hair. <g>

How many people that did not qualify even realize that they just helped Joe Blow down the street buy a new car while maybe their own car is falling apart and they are struggling to pay their bills? And people are not in the streets protesting? US citizens have to be hands-down the biggest, dumbest, sheep on the planet. (no offense intended >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

thank you for saying what i am feeling!!!!
you should see the local papers here back slapping the rep who came up with the idea.........

and how many of these were not legit deals?????
how many dealers arent properly disposing of the car?

what a waste

We need a 'cash for idiots' program -- I would qualify as would a large swath of the American public. Idiots need money to spend -- that is the heart and soul of America -- idiots spending money, -- and nothing is sweeter than spending 'free' money.

Worse, I helped the guy down the street buy a car from a company I subsidize.
