If we agree it's already the case, right now, that stocks are trading, in part, totally free of any future earnings and simply as more secure claims on plant, property, and equipment than cash--then we might also agree that pure inflation, and I do mean textbook, clean, classical inflation has begun.

For example, you've been talking about the banks as first receivers. BAC from 3 bucks to 18.00 or whatever sure looks to me--in the midst of a background of doomed CRE, doomed consumer debt, and doomed mortgages--like a pure case of inflation.
