You're missing the point - PRIVATE insurance exists, survived, prospered - even WITH national health care! Just as Obama says it will! You'll have the SAME CHOICE HERE. Yet, you claim it will be driven out of business. Do you EVER pull your head out of your ass? Taro's situation PROVES you're FOS.

Is it to get a choice of where you get treated?" That speaks for Taro as well :) Add to that, this private health insurance isn't any more expensive than the public option in Germany - or in Denmark, where the choice is free. And it is a hell of a lot better. Taro

But do you have any idea why someone in the UK would buy health insurance when the NHS takes care of them without it? Of course I do....if you can afford a 17K Euro premium, then go for it. Its probable but not guaranteed that you will get better treatment under the private plan than the NHS. There is no surprise there at all. Per usual, you continue to miss the point. The NHS plan will do for those who can't afford to pay any premiums let alone one that is 17K Euros. Why do you always defend the rich and want to screw the little guy?
