Laffer was just on Beck's show. He said obama's WH is the worst financial group ever. he said it's obvious no one in the white house ever took econ 101.

A depression was certain

The main thing is that you have it in your mind Obama "saved us" from a Depression. That's stupid and reflects a total ignorance of the history of the last decade.

As Laffer has stated, the tax-and-spend policy of the Left -- and that includes under GWB -- is what is killing us. The problem has been multiplied massively since Obama took office.

Obama has not HELPED the situation, he has actually made it worse, and massively so. And if he is allowed to continue it will become worse yet.

GWB allowed the Ds to get away with stuff that hurt our economy, no doubt about it (the Kennedy Education bill, for example). But none of this stuff comes CLOSE to what Obama has done in the last six months.

But no president has ever been as fiscally irresponsible as Obama.

Obama's mistakes may not be intentional. As I pointed out before the election, he is simply inexperienced and incompetent. This is what we get by hiring someone who has never held a meaningful job, as president.

BTW TARP was passed by the Dem congress. That was when Bush was in hiding. And the Obama team implemented it... in a totally different way than first intended. The Dems get ALL the credit.

Plus, they got millions of shares of the bank stocks. Think of Citi alone.....they bought in when the stock was worth $1.....now its worth $4.....book is $7. Deutsche bank thinks it will be worth $20 in a year. BAC was worth $3 when the feds bought in.....now its worth $17 on its way to $25. The Feds can start selling shares in Sept. How much you want to bet they don't and let the shares ride? When they do sell, Obama is going to look like a financial genius.

I can't wait.......then during next year's elections, they can pull the quotes from all the loser R congressmen who voted against TARP! The party of fiscal responsibility is going to look like the party of fiscal stupidity......worse than they do now.
