Initial gut reaction is that if it is true then shouldn't cloud levels match Aurora Borealis activity since charged particles cause the Aurora? Maybe they do but we are getting hurricanes forming right now and sunspot activity is low, and we get them when sunspot activity is high. Shouldn't we get severe thunderstorms worldwide when the Aurora is active?

I am highly skeptical. In fact, the more I think about it, the more skeptical I become.
