<OFF Topic>I read something somewhere that said that Warren and Bill Gates are good friends but that Warren has never invested in MSFT. In your reading did you see that also?

Kurt,

I don't mean to be rude, but read the book again.

One of the things you'll find is that Warren loves companies who have a dominant franchise. RMIL hardly qualifies.

He also likes to see profits. And not the kind that come from debt forgiveness. Just because a stock is in the toilet doesn't make it a value play. Negative shareholder equity and negative book value don't fit his parameters. And he likes companies whose financials are out on time(gggg).

The book is excellent reading. Enjoy.

Kurt,

>>I mean he is a VALUE investor and he invests in companies that have EXCELLENT management. If he isn't then please tell me what type of investor he is.<<

While you are accurate with regard to Warren Buffet's philosophy, you are way off base in suggesting that RMIL qualifies as the type of investment he would be interested in.

He recently acquired Dairy Queen.....a long standing, healthy, growing, family owned business. Can you in any way equate RMIL with them?? Please!....be real!
