My rep., a "blue-dog" (Mike Ross) held a "phone-in" townhall yesterday. It was clear from the first half of the meeting, which I listened to, that he has totally bowed to the political pressure from up above.

It is, as you say, "crap". There is no truth. There is no commitment. There is no integrity. And I just don't know how you have anything left but crap.

There were, according to Ross, 2600 people listening to that call -- that approaches 0.1% of people in the state, which is a pretty good turnout if you ask me (my wife attended a "live" townhall, where the place was full, with 700 people).

The commoners are angry about this legislation because they can see it isn't in the national interest. But these guys, when it comes down to it, are going to line up behind Pelosi.
