so far my family's class a (includes n1h1) but non-n1h1 has been defeated easily by tradition medicine and therapy, within 36 hours of start

i.e. no big deal

except that the bug seem more infectious than the usual

even if so, can be a big problem to a lot of enterprise

rule of thumb in hk is that if one is infected, do not show up at work for 7 days

my wife just info-ed me that the neighborhood school hong kong international school hkis.edu.hk just announced shutting doors for a while due to more than usual cases of flu

as the reports come in, our neighborhood (southside, hong kong) appears to be epicenter of some flu outbreak

so, the kids all eat at the same pizza places, go to the same clubs, play at the same beaches, attend the same group of schools, with dads mostly working in the same set of buildings and moms visiting the same spas, and now, the same flu

Industry exaggerated in the job cuts. Expected a serious crisis that did not happen. Time for those Brazilians to come here and read Elmat.

They are still reacting that pre-Demographic Window years.
Shout crisis! They jump into the brakes and cut credit.

They did not believe Lula that the crisis was a Bush thing

Nasdaq, Brazilian exchange Bovespa (the world's fourth-largest exchange operator by market value.) in tie up talks news

27 August 2009
In order to come out unscathed from global recession which hit the listing market badly, Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. is planning a partnership with the Brazilian financial exchange BM&F Bovespa SA, the world's fourth-largest exchange operator by market value.

The companies yesterday said they will hold exclusive talks for the next 60 days about a possible partnership.

During the exclusivity period, Nasdaq will not enter into similar negotiations with any other exchange located in South or Central America.

Bovespa and Nasdaq Group will initiate discussions, on an exclusive basis, with the purpose of establishing a possible strategic, commercial and technological partnership, Bovespa said in a press release yesterday.

According to analysts, BM&FBovespa this year has benefited from a surge in Brazilian capital markets and revival in initial public offerings.

The talks involve ''a possible strategic, commercial and technological partnership,'' the Brazilian stock operator said.
