Yep, it is all a confidence game. "As long as we lie to you and you believe our lies, everything will be OK. So stop asking questions and start playing dumb. It is for your own good!" We are so close to end game. There is just one thin layer left between illusion and reality. Will they be able to hold it? Maybe even add some layers back going forward? I wouldn't be surprised, but I wouldn't bet that way either. Almost every move you can make right now is "picking nickels up in front of the steam roller." Not worth the risk...
