Who is his chief of staff? If you look past the beautiful words you will find a power politician - from Chicago! One simply cannot listen to his words - one must watch his deeds.

Incidentally, by dirty I did not mean crooked - I meant more like ruthless.

As opposed to a great guy like Carl Rove from Texas?

Let us substitute one word.

If you look past the beautiful words you will find a power politician - from Texas! One simply cannot listen to his words - one must watch his deeds.

John - one of the things I try to do is to illustrate how standards are not equally applied.

The press judged Obama's remark as a slip of the tongue based on his intellect, achievements and demonstrated abilities. It would be foolish for the press to advocate that a Harvard graduate with a degree in Constitutional law really really does not know how many states there are.

On the other hand, since Palin has not demonstrated her intellectual prowess and her only claim to fame is a "hockey mom", it is news when she says that Africa is a country.

It makes little sense to discuss these things with you, Bob, because your positions lack credibility.

As for Obama and Chicago politics, he's much more like Adlai Stevenson than Richard Daley. Perhaps even more like Paul Douglas.

Your arguments about the deficit and the debt make much more sense. I don't agree but I can see the basis for them.

Bearcat;

your friends in the media dutifully trashed Sarah and gave ole slow Joe a pass.

When you say stuff like this you fall way down on my scale of believability. Everytime the press picks on one of your guys its the fault of the press - not the person? Since the press is owned by the wealthy, it lacks all common sense to suggest they picked on Palin and not Biden. They picked on Palin for one simple reason - she has no curiosity of events and because she doesn't she appears as dumb as a stump.
