Wrong as always. I ran into Al Hubbard, the CEO of Maxam at the Anaheim Mining Show on Sunday. They are not in operation yet because their resin expert is taking 90 days to get the flow charts right for the resin bed system. They can proceed with mining when ever they are ready. The State people gave them a go ahead on the on-site leaching. Don't even need a permit because it is so clean. They are building the leaching system right now.

Good thing somebody is around to keep an eye on your shenanigans.

"I do know that Maxam can't do sh*t with their little five acre exploration permit."

Thall: Maxam can begin production with their 5-acre permit. They have applied for a larger permit from BLM. Probably lots of dirt can be dug from 5 acres. Their production holdup is not related to BLM permits.

"I said months ago that they couldn't and in spite of their big pronouncement that they would be producing by now that they are not."

Thall: The reason why they are not producing now has nothing to do with the issues you were raising. You were saying they couldn't go into production because they didn't have more than a 5-acre mining notice from BLM. Production has been delayed because they need more time to figure out how to get the tailings clean, an issue that I don't recall you raising.

"In the mean time, ask yourself why a liegitimite mining company would locate their main milling operation in the middle of their ore body? Do they really have so much ore that they can afford to sacrifice the ore under their mill?"

Thall: This is a 640 acre claim. Gee, maybe they located the milling operation (how much does it cover, maybe 1/2 of one of those acres?) at a location where the metal values aren't that great.

"On the other hand, good trading to you. I can see where you can make lots of money trading these stocks based on their volitility (sp). But is a trader based on such any different than a short trader?"

Thall: Maybe not. I have no argument with long-term investors, short-term investors, or short traders per se. The problem I have is with people (who can be long or short, but shorts seem to be particularly keen on this) who manipulate and lie in order to further their financial interest.

I am not accusing you of this, I believe your skepticsm of these companies is genuine. But, just suppose that BD and Bateman verify IPM's claims. Then all of these people who have been swarming around IPM's thread stating that they know the company is a scam and the principals are crooks are just plain lying. It is one thing to hype the prospects of a company, which many are guilty of on the IPM thread. It is another to make up slanderous lies.
