"CJ, there has never been a point in time when the media loved Bush like they love Obama now."

Tenchu, this is bullshit. The media was absolutely swooning over Bush during his first campaign. After he was elected, the bloom wore off the rose, but they were right back there post-9/11 up almost to Katrina. They excused, waffled, mis-reported, ignored and generally ran cover for him and what his administration did.

Just don't try to whitewash history. We all lived through those years.

"Did ABCNews, for instance, do a one-hour infomercial on Bush's march toward the war on terrorism? No.

Did NBC do an inside look at the Bush administration when it handled "challenges" like anti-war protests (yes, there were many even before we went into Iraq)? No."

Yes and yes. Even though the Bush admin. was totally closed and secret. You've got a very convenient memory!

One huge difference, besides the fact that Obama is genuinely likable, whereas Bush was a chip-on-his-shoulder, on the defense constantly from the "media elites" redneck - Obama is our first BLACK president. Bush was just another white guy in a line of all white guys.
