It's very progressive today. Burwash is officially everywhere now. That prisoner who used to learn to live on the straight and narrow* hoeing it in the back 40, now is living next to you, without the orange jumpsuit, crawling in your window liberating the silverware, and deinstalling the CD player in your SUV. Believe it. Has happened to lots of people I know. Ever notice the number of tattooed neighbours has increased lately? I heard stories about the Wash. Torture, beatings, drugs, etc. Made Auschwitz look like bible camp. For a place that never had more than 1000 people serving less than 2 years, it certainly had a lot of people dying on the job. Cemetery out back has an unknown number of people in unmarked graves. Venezuela is still the murder king of the lockup. One person dies every day in Vz prisons. In Caracas, one person dies of murder per 1000 population per year. That means for an adult that you have a 0.166% chance of dying violently in Vz this year - if you live in Caracas. Under Chavez, murders have now surpassed Columbia. There are six reasons for murder in Vz, Gasoline, Cocaine, Revenge, Politics, Robbery and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. In Vz. prisons they have gunfights. Gunfights in prison. Do they make them in machine shop? Do they come in cakes? When you hear that clang behind you, you had better believe life has changed. In Canada they prison is the border. The government should just mail people the bars for their windows. EC<:-}
