Not the way you remember things?
ROTFLMAO... Webster, Methinks you're full of shit and I'm calling shenanigans!
Webster, you posted a google search link story done by the Rockefeller funded "ADP" which is sponsored by the New York Times in partnership with liberal universities.
Your google search link:
google.com
And the only story found via google search, is the 4th link down... your link:
ee.iusb.edu
Further, the ADP (American Democracy Project) story you cited for "your recollection" is from a single article done by the South Bend Tribune on July 27, 1967, and the riots I am referring to occured A YEAR LATER in 1968, after the death of Martin Luther King.
So, please do take it personally when I tell you, you are a fraud, and are full of shit.
And what kind of Hegelian Dialetic psycho-babble was that anyway?
ie:
"Now that you having decided to roast Jesse Jackson as the next antiChrist, I thought I would chime in WHY ? The guy is a loser and a leach and a self-promotor, but he holds no real authority or sway over current black communities. But of course it is the past and not the present that you want to stir up. So go ahead a wake up those lost, forgotten, and dead memories (2/3 of which are hallucinations) and paint the devil on the wall."
Hmmm?
You agree with me on Jesse Jackson being a racist poverty pimp, a professional extortionist, and a leech, but yet somehow my pointing out the fact that "NOTHING HAS CHANGED" in forty years, makes me wrong...and guilty of dredging up the past?
What fact did I state about Jesse Jackson that is untrue?
What fact stated in the article I linked to about Jesse Jackson is untrue?
wnd.com
Not surprisingly, your anger seems more directed at the messenger, rather than the message, which in a perverse way, you seemingly agree with?
Could it have been the fact that the 10 American cities with the highest levels of poverty, have all been Democratic strongholds for decades?

Was that it Webby, was that what got your goat?
Isn't it amazing how all those liberal intellectual, civil rights programs, and government agencies created after the poverty pimp riots of the 1960's, actually destroyed those communties, eliminated jobs, destroyed the school systems, and enslaved those communities into government dependency, where only the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons profited?
Was that it Webby, was that what got you upset?
Or, is the fact that you and millions of Democrats have suddenly realized that the man you voted for, is not who you thought he was, and is just another tool of the bankers, and the same ruling hunta that ran the Bush crime family?
When you can't refute the facts - I must be drinking.
I must be crazy.
I must be a racist.
Because that's what Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" says you must resort to, when you can't refute the facts.
Lastly, let's set your "google search" recollections aside and revisit the aftermath of those riots in 1968 (not '67).
Here's an interesting photo collage from the aftermath of the riots in Chicago, which are pretty representative of those that occured in cities all over America, including South Bend.
uic.edu
"On April 4, 1968 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was assassinated by a sniper as he stood on the balcony of his hotel room in Memphis, TN. News of his death was greeted with an outpouring of grief and rage. Riots erupted all over the country, primarily in black urban areas. At least 110 cities experienced violence and destruction in the next few days...
Over 22,000 federal troops and 34,000 national guard were sent to aid local police -- the largest ever called to deal with domestic civil disturbance. In many cities the devastation was so great that it left a permanent scar, which was still evident decades later.
"Still evident decades later."
"The looted stores were largely black stores in black neighborhoods. Much of the looting involved crimes of opportunity; men's clothing stores were particularly hard hit, followed by liquor, furniture, appliances and food. When the riots ended there was a food shortage in the area, barely met by volunteers bringing in food from other areas.
Some stores escaped destruction by writing "soul brother" on the windows. While the destruction was selective, some made no sense. A health clinic in Chicago which provided free health care to infants and children was burned to the ground.
These photographs were taken on Chicago's west side after order had been restored by troops and civilians were allowed to enter the area.
Here's a photo collage very representative of how "I" remember things:

The caption to that photo?
"Former employees examine what's left of their workplace"
Here's another.

And another.

Funny how so many anti-capitalist, extremist liberals voted for Obama believing that they were going to wreak revenge on the greedy bankers, and rich Republicans, only to find out that's exactly who elected Obama....
