Jay, John assured my the prizes were mailed out today and that some fine Ancor activewear make up the prizes. Let's all hope that the Sweatpants association's standard saw to it that Julie's stiches worked with Bev's fabric and Henry's dye so we don't have a repeat of Sequent and the jogger end up naked! People mostly long on Ancor over optimistic again? What a surprise! Steve

Jay -Why don't you post the first call estimates next to our consensus some time tomorrow. I think our average is somewhat higher then Kinnards. Was that the case last quarter also? Ed

Jay, thanks for taking on such a time-consuming job. FWIW, I think the SI "whisper numbers' on revenues are far too high and I think the number will be somewhere between $3 and $4 million. How's that for sticking my neck out <g>?

With all due respect, I think Ancor has held up in the last few days because just before this recent crash, it was taken out of its own sweatpants behind the barn again by the International Farming Gang. Anyway you slice it tomorrow, Ancor will be doing a lot more business in '98 than it has done this year and last year we were at 10 before the sequent news, I believe. There is a lot of oems to be won and that is no secret and a lot of networking contracts to be won with the likes of big cad/cams (I believe the Hucom deal was for One big cad/cam network), oil and gas, miliatary, financial, etc...just for perspective. :-) That doesn't mean that I don't think the stock will be all over the place in the short term. I know it will. I can only think of a few industrys in the networking world that have the potential to grow very fast and quick over the next several years. I am still scouring the market place for more pure Fibre Channel plays. Many of the good ones seem to be private. :( The ocean is deep and the waters murky...that whale is swimming around somewhere though. :-) ALL IMHO pigboy
