If the arsonist is proven guilty, he/she should be given the max penalty...and the chair or hanging if they murdered a person, or caused injury to any human.

Most people don't think of how many animals die in such fires....Where is PETA and the like when the arsonists are caught?

I've decided that I'm against the death penalty, at least here in California where they're seldom carried out. If the murderer is given the death penalty, he's then moved to death row where he's given his own private cell, TV, computer, 3 squares a day, medical, dental - every comfort and convenience. The state pays for all the mandatory appeals, which can go into the millions.
