It does NOT ignore the assassination of his two brothers or the impact their deaths must have had on his life - that was certainly addressed in the article. I see it as little excuse. His two brothers got assassinated and you see it as little excuse. Fukk you! He was human; not a robot R. We should expect all our public figures to behave privately better than Kennedy did. He treated women like kleenex and ended up throwing one's life away to avoid a DUI arrest. He deserves infamy for that. When Kennedy was getting drunk and fooling with all those women......he wasn't married He got separated in 1978; divorced shortly after that. Much of the time he was as the article made clear. Of course, this was a family tradition for the Kennedys. It seems to be a tradition for most men in power on both sides of the aisle. Get over it! Its none of your business. the author didn't think a man of his stature should cavort in that way. Frankly, it was none of his business. I know liberals don't have any expectations for their leaders. They can literally kill people and they'll be forgiven as Ted showed. I have high expectations of my leaders but those standards have to do with their capability as a public servant, and not what they do in their private lives. I expect them to be intellingent, educated and competent, standards the Rs would be smart to adopt. See that's the difference between a Sanford and a Kennedy or a Vitter and a Kennedy. One difference between the right and left is Sanford and Vitter will pay for their transgressions the nest time an election rolls around. Who cares?
