conditions on the planet were much different back then.

Less hospitable to life as we know it. Furthermore, there are extreme conditions on earth now, underground, at underwater sea vents, in glaciers, in lakes under glaciers ... and there if life on earth wherever one looks but no sign of it spontaneously generating anywhere.

Or, "well, if God creates life and did so many times in the past (which would have to be the case if you don't believe in Evolution) why isn't God creating life now and we should be able to see it?"

Since I'm not positing separate creations of life for each species, I don't feel a need to comment.

Or even: life IS spontaneously arising (generating).. it's called birth.

Reproduction and spontaneous generation are of course two different things.

This would especially be true if one believes in ones own divinity... spirit, whatever... because if one does, then ONE IS "spontaneously" arising at birth... the biology is simply the details.

I wouldn't use the term divinity - I'm sure not divine, nor is life. Miraculuous could be used and I'd have no problem. Life is a miracle. As opposed to being an accidental spontaneous generation.

The term "spontaneous generation" could have endless meanings... for science it's usually that flies arose from nothing, which was debunked when they found eggs, etc. Or one could say evolution IS spontaneous generation unfolding, as I've said before. It's all a matter of what meaning one attaches to those words.

Life arising accidentally from non-living elements.
