Just got back in from an "Anti-HB3200oranythinglikeit" Rally...the folks who advised us of this thought there were about 32 in the local area that 'might' be able to come....Actually, I counted myself over 100....ACORN and the other side totalled about 47 from my count....we'll see what the local paper might say. It was fun, and there were many people who had made some homemade signs that were polite, definitely unscripted, and to the point.

How are things in CA as far as the really bad wildfires are concerned?

I got an email via a blog from our local folks up at our mt cabin. There is a fire burning 2 miles NE of our cabin location. The local fire district and one from down valley have gone in to fight it. They have volunteers digging trenches around the perimeter of the fire and helicopters taking water out of the NF of the Skykomish and drenching it.

If the Mt Wilson fire is anywhere near you (which I don't think it is) we'll understand if we don't hear from you.
