If they wanted to fix Medicare, that is what they would be doing, not trying to take over the whole health care system in the country. The proof is in actions, not political rhetoric and speeches designed to dupe the uninformed.

Your comments and mph's comments don't apply to me, so It may not pertain to you but it does to the democrat party and seemingly all the people belonging to it.... If the dems really wanted to reform HC they wouldn't start by overhauling the whole thing. NO ONE ASKED FOR SOCIALIZED HC, people asked to make it more affordable and somehow BO and the dems took that to mean a mandate for socialized medicine, which they've been trying to push on Americans forever. If the dems and BO truly wanted to make HC more affordable the FIRST thing they'd do is implement tort reform which would have an immediate impact for all Americans across the board. There's not one DC lefty that doesn't know this, yet one never hears calls for TR from the left. The reason that we've heard nothing of tort reform and everything about socialized medicine from our current leftist administration is because of one cynical reason and one reason only. Implement socialized HC and you increase the power of the central gov't (just like the dems like). Implement tort reform and the dems would be ceding power, less support from trial lawyers....etc Deans explanation as to why they didn't stick tort reform in the HC bill: "it would have been too hard pass". BS! It's because the dems aren't willing to put their necks on the line.
