Perspective from the personal, and also the historical, matters. We have fought for this so long in this country... for people to suggest we back down now I think is silly. especially since we have backed down from single payer. that IS the compromise. seriously, what the fak more they want from us? oh... they wnat nothing to happen as it has not happened for a century now. enough already.

My mother spoke to me all my life about how bad the great depression was and how badly the poor people were treated before the New Deal.

And how much FDR and Elenore Roosevelt helped the people.
