Calling Reagan great is a compliment to greatness.

Ronald Reagan clearly was the greatest president of last century, with the possible exception of TR. And it isn't even a close race.

He defined greatness in a presidency. In every respect.

There is no way the Ds could ever field such a great president because Ds lack the essence of what made Reagan great -- his decency and positive spirit combined with a deep understanding of how the world works and unassailable character.

Consider Clinton, for example -- who blundered foreign policy for the full two terms and ending with an act tantamount to rape of a near-teenager in the Oval Office.
