"until you see the U.S. government enthusiastically embracing free markets and stopping the incessant political meddling in the economy, which is now almost on a par with that of China, you can forget about the U.S. enjoying a sustainable recovery. "

This guy obviously believes the US economy is in deep doo-doo because of government interference. Talk about the triumph of ideology over reason.

"It is for this reason that I have often compared the myth of a Super-China to that which circulated in the 1980s about Super-Japan."

and now Super America

No empire lasts forever.

Americas big mistake was not executing corporate criminals like they do in China when they are convicted of crimes.

"Secondly, until you see the U.S. government enthusiastically embracing free markets and stopping the incessant political meddling in the economy, which is now almost on a par with that of China, you can forget about the U.S. enjoying a sustainable recovery. "

Wow what a silly statement. If the USA had closed the doors to imports 30 years ago it would be in far better shape than it is now. Cheap imports from other countries have ruined the USA and made it a fat lazy consumer society with no morals compared to a lean mean working and producing country like China. Free markets suck as does the NWO of globalization. The USA (Canada as well) is primarily a consumer society and consumerism does not make for a healthy population.

Actually to my mind your post goes with CD's.. and China is NOT out to save capitalism .. Casey research has part of it right to be sure.. The Chinese gov is looking to make its people happy.. to save their own heads .. so the people do not look for heads.. If capitalism benefits.. it's a by product..

US and Canada have more trouble ahead..
