To simplify for all re: the algorithm. You can NOT take a pattern recognition print like IDX uses and re-create the original fingerprint. To check for a match you have to make another one and see if it matches the first. You can't match the computer image file to the finger, it has to be done the other way round. Gates likes biometrics? He liked TV, and spent a billion or so to get in the game. He bot WebTV for $450MM so as not to have to do the whole thing over. Would he want to re-invent the wheel or jump in whole hog now? Onliest lil pro'lem....RatMan would kill half the hostages immediately if he even smelled Micro$oft getting aholt of one of his prints. Besides they done already gots SET, SSL, ETC.
