The problems occur when politicians pay too much attention to said special interests at the expense of the rest of their constituents. That's when they break out the old rhetoric, "What's good for unions is good for America," even though that's no longer true. The problem, as I see it, is that inode and the like claim unions are destroying America. They don't claim that PhRMA is destroying America. Or that the farm lobby is destroying America. Or the NRA. Just the unions. Why? If they are just a special interest group?
