That is very true. $50+ billion cash offer can only
boost Lee's glamour image and suck the share value!

Nah, that won't happen in the forseable future. GTE management
has never been that smart enuf, plus it really doesn't make
too much sense to acquire someone and be acquired by somebody else
at the same time.

Chuck's strategy is trying to avoid of being acquired by
ATT, so that he can still toast his CEO position.
