Agreed. But is that really rational? What do you envision the scenario being that's going to allow you to cash in? Gold at $2500 an ounce you take to your corner coin shop (if still allowed) where the coin shop owner extracts an unjust amount to exchange your physical asset into more worthless USD or into some other worthless currency? It might work, I'm just highly suspicious that long before it gets to that level our government, perhaps in conjunction with governments worldwide, since they're all in the central bank fiat currency business, are going to do something to screw anyone holding that commodity as a reserve against fiat currency. Or, at least, they're going to try. But, hey! I've been wrong before -g-
