For me it's more about what I DON'T like than what I like. I DON'T like DEBT. In my personal life and ESPECIALLY in my "tax paying" life I don't want to OWE money.

Here's the issue with a stimulus package. The money has to come from somewhere.

it can come from two places...taxes
or
creating money

creating money has the effect of making the dollar less valuable. Which discourages saving.

so, one way you end up owing more money in your tax paying life and the other way your money has less value.

And both ways we end up in a stagnated economy much like Japan's.

THAT is my real problem with the stimulus package.

I simply don't believe in short cuts. I believe that the same financial principles that apply to individuals also applies to countries.

I criticized bush when he was president and I am criticizing Obama when he is president. Maybe you should focus on the current president...Bush is out of power. He doesn't matter anymore.
