Maybe the fact that they became unhinged over the past eight years cannot easily be reversed. I think there are a few issues at work -- 1) The liberal in the WH ran on a far more centrist agenda than the one he's trying to implement, which has alienated just about everyone who supported him to begin with; 2) The liberal in the WH is so inexperienced that he really just doesn't know how to get things done; and 3) The American People don't really want to hear their president (a) Bashing and apologizing for America, or (b) blame everything on the previous president. This was the genesis of the phrase "The Buck Stops Here". They want the buck to STOP with the current White House. They don't want this chronic whining about how he inherited such difficult challenges. He wanted it. We don't even tolerate this from our children and sure as hell don't want to hear it from our president.
