Exactly. I remember when people were proud of their communities. Really always trying to make them better because it was good for everybody. And that was an important part of the country getting a little better every year and every generation.

Now seems we're getting a little worse every year. And everybody wants somebody else to pick up the tab to stop the back slide. It's everybody for himself and screw the community because it's just government and government is BAD BAD BAD.

I am still shocked that the incumbent Seattle mayor got turned away in the primary. He was a good mayor that made one mistake in 8 years. Did a lot of good stuff for the city. People need to chill and develop some empathy, or we will start getting only the bad running for office.

And this business of trying to get something for nothing....well that's just plain stupid.

(R)'s in CA want to retreat into their gated communities with their private security and watch it all burn on the big flatscreen. That's why I hope the riot leaders THIS time drive out TO the gated communities and take out their fury THERE.

The private security will vanish like the wind...
