I am not sure about these mega fields being a solution to our energy problems and not just because I don't know what global demand and supply will be many years from now when they go into production. I suspect that they will be a temporary palliative. But I cannot really say because I really don't know. One thing is sure: they are devilishly expensive to develop, so the price of crude must cooperate in order for these new mega fields to be economic.
