Many affluent lefties - and I know quite a few - are OK with the "reform" - for as long as they get to keep their own insurance plans, with which they are very happy. When confronted with the notion that they may lose their coverage and get mixed in with the hoi poloi, that worries them. If it comes to that, they'll oppose Obama. They seem somewhat suspicious, and for good reasons. They probably WILL lose their nice privileged perky plans.
