we have term limits..it is called 'elections'.

However, if the 'protectors' of the Constitution are not going to protect it...

Actually, there are a number of things that the government must do that would be unpopular with the people. In fact, there are things that would be downright political suicide for either party.

I think the time is ripe for a third party. And I think that both the dems and reps should get behind it (in a stealth way)....at certain times the government gets overburdened with its own weight. It needs to be trimmed, but can you imagine the outcry if we started slashing government jobs? And balancing the budget is going to take some real sacrificing.

Basically we need the Scapegoat Party. For one term every 20 years or so, they come in with a flame thrower and clean house. We would need someone from the Scapegoat party to come in and propose and pass the congressional term limits.
