space cadet, I agree QNTM is a great company, but I would hesitate to say that they are the "class of the DD industry". What they are is the class of the tape storage industry. QNTM is very vulnerable in DD's. Their 10K says they lost $20M in their high end business and don't even expect it to turn a profit after the introduction of the new generation of high end drives. In addition, they are about a quarter behind SEG and IBM and their drives are not the hoghest performing drives in the market. Their DD business is shaky right now (just like all the other DD makers). Regards,
