I must admit, I'm glad the internet was invented and kudos to all who developed it. The good news is, if some dumb power hungry socialists in one country decide to tax everybody to help the climate and developing nations, then you can move your business elsewhere in an hour or two.

I can see why many fear the globalists. I'm one of them.

Financial Services Authority Chairman Adair Turner’s proposal for a global tax on financial transactions.

I think it's clear now who I vote for in the next UK election.

The UK's FSA is a usless and toothless organisation that presided over countless financial crimes against UK citizens. They have given us absolutely nothing except reams of red tape to fill in. These are the people who need to be turned out of power, not given more.

Please provide verifiable information that the 31,478 signatures on the petition are fraudulent. This is the only reason that I began an exchange with you and you have consistently evaded my request.

Your post brings up a number of topics not related to our discussion. Please respond to the above before we move on to the following raised in your post:

Am I trying to rid the world of socialists or just attempting to be free of them?

Are socialists the same as the political entrepreneurs of the military industrial complex? (hint: no)

This one is especially rich: There also needs to be an improved awareness of the differences between socialism and genuine environmental concern. Genuine environmental concern is codespeak for government control. Since socialism is the common ownership of the means of production where is the difference? That's the goal of genuinely concerned environmentalists.

Oh, and this one, too: ...big business had absolutely had no regard for the environment at all. Do you know why things developed this way? Think of 19th century cases for precedents and the "greater good". If property rights had been protected in those cases instead of using the "greater good" argument businesses would have been forced to take into account how their actions affected property owners around them.

Monsanto, who knows? I sure don't. They could be just another political entrepreneur like Archer Daniels Midland (ethanol) or Goldman Sachs. Time is short, and someone else will have to dig into that one.
